Brenna Schiekiera was named the CCIW Student-Athlete of the Year and Dan Mueller earned CCIW Coach of the Year honors to highlight six awards for Marian University women’s bowling.
Schiekiera (Waukesha, Wis.) earns CCIW Student-Athlete of the Year honors along with a spot on the All-CCIW First Team for her third all-conference award. She was the top bowler of the first CCIW event after averaging 232.0 pins including the first 300 game in program history. This would earn her the first of two CCIW Bowler of the Week awards. At the second CCIW event, Schiekiera finished fourth with a 167.3 average and a high game of 192. She finished conference play with a 204.3 average. Her second CCIW Bowler of the Week award came after finishing third at the Flyer Classic with an average of 210.4 pins. She finished above 200 pins in four of five games that weekend and had a fill percentage of 84 percent. Schiekiera becomes the second CCIW Student-Athlete of the Year in Marian women’s bowling history.
Jocelynn Eggert (Loves Park, Ill.) made an immediate impact on the Sabre lineup and earns All-CCIW First Team honors in her first season as a Sabre. Eggert was second on the team averaging 185.0 pins with three finishes inside the top-five. In the first CCIW event of the season, Eggert finished in 14th after averaging 175.5 pins with at least 180 in two games. She would average 167.7 over six games in conference action. Eggert was the top bowler at the first Great Lakes Bowling Conference event averaging 206.4 pins over five games. She also earned a CCIW Bowler of the Week award after finishing 14th at the SFA Ladjack Classic with a 184.4 average.
Jenna Betts (Clare, Mich.) earns her fourth All-CCIW award earning a spot on the second team. Betts averaged 170.0 pins over 37 games during the regular season with a pair of finishes in the top 25. She had an especially dominant end to the regular season finishing first in the individual standings at the second CCIW event of the year. She would average 182.7 pins at that event with a high game of 230. Betts also finished 20th at the Warhawk Open after averaging 181.3 pins over six games.
Jazmin Koeberl (West Bend, Wis.) was named as the Marian recipient of the CCIW RESPECT award. The CCIW RESPECT award recognizes the intangible traits a student-athlete possesses that exemplify great character and encourages inclusiveness and a positive culture.
Mueller earns the first Coach of the Year award at Marian after leading the Sabres to their fourth straight CCIW Championship. He has now coached nine First Team All-Conference award winners and has sent two women’s bowling student-athletes to the United States Bowling Congress (USBC) Individual Singles Championship.

Marian heads to Mukwonago, Wis. for the CCIW Tournament March 22-24 as the top seed. The winner of the tournament will earn the conference’s automatic bid into the NCAA Tournament.
