3nd annual concert, raise awareness for veteran suicide

Salute the Troops announced the 3rd annual RAWK4VETS (formerly known as Fire For Effect) concert on January 14, 2023 at the Fond du Lac County Fairgrounds inside the Rec Center. This live concert will include Mick Blankenship, Shallow Side, Amillennial, and Lake Effect.

RAWK4VETS (formerly known as Fire For Effect) originated in 2020 as a two-day heavy metal music festival dedicated to helping local veterans during their hardest times. The entire show was specifically dedicated to six local Wisconsin heroes who gave their lives in the defense of our country and the families and legacies they left behind.

This year, proceeds from this event will be reinvested in Salute the Troops to raise awareness and provide assistance as it relates to veteran suicide.

“This event is a small way to pay tribute to the men and women who died defending our country,” Jason Turner, Salute the Troops Executive Director, said. “We’re changing the event a bit this year and are holding it indoors and in January. However, the intent remains the same. We want to provide an event where all are welcome.”
