Marian University women’s volleyball (9-17, 3-8 NACC) opened an important week falling to Concordia Chicago 26-24, 25-22, 21-25, 25-21.

- Concordia Chicago opened with an 8-4 lead before Marian scored nine straight point to lead by four.
- The Sabres took its lead out to 19-13 before Concordia Chicago rallied with seven unanswered to lead 20-19.
- Marian retook the lead at 23-22 but following a CUC timeout the Cougars scored four of the next five to take the set.
- The Sabres led for most of the second set and led by a score of 18-13.
- The Cougars then went on a 10-2 spurt to take a 23-20 lead and eventually take a 2-0 lead.
- After an 8-8 start to the third set, Marian went on an 8-2 run to take a 16-10 advantage.
- The Cougars were able to once again rally and tied the set at 18-18, but this time Marian was able to hold off the Cougars and take the set with a 6-2 run.
- With that momentum, Marian jumped out to a 9-4 advantage to open the fourth and draw a CUC timeout.
- Concordia Chicago rallied to tie the set at 12-12, but Marian was able to bounce back and led 20-16.
- The Cougars then closed out the match with a 9-1 spurt.

- Each team had 47 kills with Marian hitting .097 and Concordia Chicago .128.
- The Sabres held a slim edge in digs by a 66-64 margin.
- The Cougars had a strong night at the net recording 12 blocks to only four for Marian.
- The Sabres fall to 8-16 all-time against Concordia Chicago.
