Sabre Women’s Soccer Shut out by Falcons

Marian University women’s soccer (5-8-3, 2-4-3 NACC) fell at Concordia Wisconsin by a 3-0 final.

  • The Falcons had the lone tally of the first half scoring at the 31;09 mark.
  • It took CUW just 3;51 into the second half to find the back of the net and extend its lead to 2-0.
  • The Falcons were then able to ice the match scoring at the 69:41 mark.

  • Marian finished with a 20-18 advantage in shots but the Falcons had a 14-10 advantaage for shots on goal.
  • Marian also had an advantage in corner kicks by a 6-4 margin.
  • Only five fouls were called in the match with the Sabres drawing four of them.
  • Marian falls to 8-36-1 all-time against CUW.

Senior Baylee Alvarado finished with a game-high seven shots, three of which were on goal.
Junior Chelsea King (3-8-3) made 11 saves, her third performance this season with double-digit saves.
Sophomore Emily Gordillo had three shots, two on goal, adn played a team-high 83 minutes.
