Marian University women’s soccer (0-1-0, 0-0-0 NACC) was defeated 4-0 by a Southern Maine squad that qualified for the NCAA Tournament a season ago.

- The Huskies were able to take control early on the Sabres allowing just one Marian shot in the first 20 minutes of action.
- USM was able to breakthrough in the 21st minute to take a 1-0 lead. The Huskies then built that lead to 2-0 after scoring with just 11 seconds left in the opening half.
- Southern Maine opened the second half with a goal just 1:42 in, but Marian was able to bounce back the remainder of the half.
- The Huskies tacked on one final goal in the 64th minute.

- Marian was outshot 29-5, but the second half saw USM hold only a 12-4 edge.
- Corner kicks were fairly even with USM holding a slim 4-3 edge.
- This was the first meeting between Southern Maine and Marian.
