Sabre women’s lacrosse drops road game at LFC

Marian University women’s lacrosse (3-7, 0-2 NACC) fell for the second straight time on the road 22-7 at Lake Forest.

  • The Foresters wasted no time scoring five goals in the first 7:35 of the game.
  • Three different Sabres found the back of the net in the opening stanza but Marian trailed 9-3 after the first 15 minutes.
  • Senior Emma Heide was the lone goal scorer for Marian in teh second quarter as the Foresters built a 15-4 advantage at halftime.
  • The third quarter saw junior Rebecca Larson score and seniors Nicole Stachon and Makenzie Gaulke each found the back of the net in the fourth quarter.

  • Marian was outshot 41-17 for the game and Lake Forest had a 25-11 advantage for ground balls.
  • The Foresters had a slim 18-14 advantage for draw controls.
  • The Sabres had three free-position goals to only two for LFC.
  • This was the first meeting between the two programs.

Junior Rebecca Larson was the lone Sabre with multiple points recording a goal and assist in the second half.
Senior Nicole Stachon had five draw controls.
Senior Isabel Davis had four ground balls and two caused turnovers.
