Sabre women’s hockey shut out by SNC

Marian University women’s ice hockey (1-4-0, 0-3-0-0 NCHA) suffered its first shutout of the season falling at St. Norbert, who is receiving votes in both national polls, 4-0.

  • St. Norbert scored near the midway point of all three periods to lead 3-0.
  • A short-handed empty-net gaol with 2:21 sealed the victory for the Green Knights.

  • The Green Knights finished with a 28-17 edge in shots for the game.
  • Neither side had a power-play goal with the Sabres having four chances and SNC two.
  • Marian had just 18 face-off wins to 35 for St. Norbert.
  • The Sabres fall to 3-31-3 all-time against SNC with the Green Knights winning the last 14 games.
