Marian University women’s ice hockey  (5-4-0, 3-4-0 NCHA) fell to Lake Forest 3-0 in the opener of its final NCHA series of the first half.
 

• The Foresters dominated the opening period but Marian held LFC to only one goal with 1:29 left in the period.
• Another late goal in the second period with just 3:52 on the clock put the score at 2-0.
• Lake Forest closed out the scoring with a goal at the 11:28 mark of the final period.

• Lake Forest finished with a 33-26 advantage for shots.
• After being outshot 14-4 in the first period, Marian outshot LFC in the final two periods.
• Face-offs favored LFC by a 29-23 margin.
• Neither team scored on their lone power-play chance.
• Lake Forest has now won four of the last five meetings.

	Sophomore Jillian Traver (3-2-0) finished with 30 saves, her third game this season with at least 30 stops.
	Junior Ella Spies had a game-high eight shots and a pair of blocked shots.
