Marian University women’s hockey (6-9-1, 3-5-1-0 NCHA) dropped its opener to Lake Forest by a 2-0 final.

- The Foresters needed just 11 seconds to score on the first power play opportunity for either squad to open the scoring at the 12:23 mark of the opening period.
- This special-teams goal proved to be the lone score until LFC added an empty-net goal in the final minute to put the final at 2-0.
