Sabre Women’s Bowling Opens Season at Midwest Collegiate Championship

Marian University women’s bowling opened its season finishing 19th at the Midwest Collegiate Championship.

  • Marian opened the event with 4,373 during traditional play.
  • The Sabres then were able to move up in the standings after finishing with 2,902 pins in Baker format.
  • Marian was able to finish 19th with a total pin fall of 7,275.
  • Mount Mercy qualified as the top seed at 8,581 pins with Coe defeating Ambrose for the championship.

Junior Kyley Olson led Marian finishing 34th with an average of 194.8.  She had two games above 200 pins with a high game of 234.
Senior Jocelynn Eggert averaged 187.4 pins to finish in 55th.  Eggert had a high game of 213.
Senior Brenna Schiekiera averaged 183.4 to finish in 66th.  She had a high game of 208.
