Marian University women’s bowling opened CCIW action going 5-1 at the fall tournament.

  • Marian opened with the second-highest total in traditional play at 3,445 pins.
  • The Sabres swept their way through the first day with wins over Augustana (Ill.), Carthage, and Elmhurst.
  • The victory over Elmhurst saw Marian finish with 950 pins, the highest total in a single match for any team on the day.
  • The second day was similar as Marian had the second-best Baker total at 2,587 pins.
  • Marian was defeated by Carroll in its first match of the day 875-808 before a dominating win over Illinois Wesleyan.
  • The Sabres had 914 pins against IWU, the highest total in a single match of any team for the day.
  • Marian then concluded the opening CCIW tournament with an 865-828 win over Aurora.
