Sabre women’s bowling finishes first half at Warhawk Open

Marian University women’s bowling finished ninth at the Warhawk Open to close out the opening half of the season.

  • Marian opened the event with 4,420 pins in traditional play before recording 2,707 pins in Baker format.
  • The 7,127 pins put Marian in ninth among the 19-team field and just 69 pins behind Calumet College of St. Joseph for a spot in bracket play.
  • Mount Mercy earned the top spot for bracket play and went on to win the event.

Senior Jocelynn Eggert earned All-Tournament recognition finishing in fifth.  Eggert averaged 209.2 and finished above 200 pins in the final four games.
Junior Elana Rimer finished in 29th with a 180.0 average.  Rimer had four games between 176 and 179 before posting a 189 in her final game.
Sophomore Delanie Vogt had games of 169 and 205.
