Marian University women’s basketball (1-4, 0-0 NACC) fell to Beloit 76-62 in the final game before conference play opens.

- Marian had a dominating start scoring the first nine points and taking a 12-2 lead just 2:22 into the game.
- Beloit would rally over the final 7:38, however, closing out the opening quarter with a 17-4 run to go ahead 19-16 at the first stoppage.
- The Buccaneers held a 26-22 advantage before scoring seven unanswered to lead 33-22 with 4:38 left in the second.
- The Sabres cut its deficit down to nine only to have Beloit score the final five points of the half to lead 41-27 after two stanzas.
- Beloit wouldn’t slow down opening the third quarter on a 13-4 run to lead 54-31 with 4:20 left in the quarter.
- Marian was able to trim its deficit down to as small as 12 points but couldn’t come any closer leading to a 76-62 final.
- The Sabres would outscore Beloit 20-15 over the final 10 minutes of action.

- Beloit shot 29-of-60 (.483) for the game and was 17-of-32 (.532) between the second and third quarters.
- Marian was 23-of-63 (.365) from the field and went 9-of-19 (.473) in the final quarter.
- The Buccaneers held a 25-13 advantage in bench points and 40-30 edge in the paint.
