Sabre track and field returns to action at UW-Oshkosh Early Bird Invite

Marian University track and field competed in its first event since the spring of 2023 at the UW-Oshkosh Early Bird.

  WOMEN

  • The trio of Ana Gonzalez, Angelene Castron and Jude Taie all competed in the 60-meter dash and 200-meter dash with Gonzalez leading the way in both events followed by Castro and Taie.
  • Castron also competed in the 400-meter dash finishing with a time of 1:18.07.
  • Madeline DeVries was able to earn the lone Marian point of the event competing in the mile.
  • Gonzalez competed in the lone field event for the Sabre women with a long jump of 3.80 meters, good for third in the Marian record books.

MEN  

  • Max Ramker and Jayden Gerhardt each were in the 60-meter dash with Ramker finishing with a time of 7.62 seconds.
  • Ramker along with Connor Powers and Nasir Orosco competed in the 200-meter dash where Powers led the group with a time of 24.28, good for 20th.
  • Matt Linn led the Sabre field events with a 10.7-meter throw in the shot put, while Jackson Shultis also competed in the event.
