Marian University softball received 221 total points to finish the NACC preseason poll in sixth, as voted on by the head coaches and sports information professionals of the conference.
Dominican was picked to finish atop the league earning 331 points and 21 first-place tallies. Aurora finished just behind the Stars at 295 points with a first-place vote. Concordia Wisconsin and Benedictine were third and fourth, respectively, at 276 and 253 with each school earning two first-place votes. Lakeland and Marian were the final two schools with more than 200 points at 233 and 221, respectively.
MSOE earned the final NACC Tournament preseason spot at 181 just ahead of Edgewood with its 176 points. Wisconsin Lutheran and Rockford were in a similarly close race at 103 and 98. Concordia Chicago and St. Norbert were close finishers with 87 and 83, respectively, while Alverno rounded out the poll at 27.

The top eight teams at the regular season will earn a spot in the NACC Tournament with the winner of the conference tournament earning an automatic bid to the NCAA Division III National Tournament.
Marian opens the season Sunday, March 2 at THE Spring Games taking on Illinois College and Alvernia.
