Marian University men’s volleyball (8-8, 2-3 NACC) took the opening set but was defeated by MSOE 24-26, 25-17, 25-15, 25-20.

- MSOE had a strong start to the match taking an early 13-7 lead.
- The Raiders brought their lead out to 20-12 before Marian tied the set with a 10-2 run.
- After MSOE scored the next point, the Sabres scored four of the next five to take the opener.
- Marian opened the second with a 5-4 advantage but MSOE scored the next five points, a run that proved to be the difference.
- A 7-2 run from the Raiders later in the set evened the sets at 1-1.
- The third set opened with the Sabres trailing 10-8 before MSOE pulled away with a 7-1 spurt.
- MSOE used an 8-2 run to lead 11-6 in the fourth set, which proved to be the difference as Marian was unable to climb out of that hole.

- MSOE had a 48-39 edge for kills an d63-55 advantage for digs.
- The Raiders posted eight service aces and 11 digs at the net.
- The Marian offense had a tough time hitting just .099 in the match.
- The Sabres are now just 4-10 all-time against MSOE having dropped three of the last four.
