Marian University men’s soccer (1-1-0, 0-0-0 NACC) fell in the inaugural Highway 23 Derby at Ripon by a 3-0 final.
 

• Ripon would ring a shot off the word work just two minutes in and just 4:55 later found the back of the net to lead 1-0.
• The Red Hawks expanded on their lead in the 28th minute with an unassisted goal.
• The 2-0 Ripon lead held going into halftime.
• A corner kick provided Ripon another goal in the 4th minute, and this ultimately set the final score.

• The Marian offense had a tough time finding a groove being limited to four shots, none of which were on goal.
• Ripon recorded seven shots in the first half and six in the second.
• Marian held an advantage in corner kicks by a 6-5 margin.
• The Red Hawks had 19 fouls and four yellow cards, while Marian had 11 fouls and two yellow cards.
• The defeat snaps a four-game winning streak in the all-time series for the Sabres with Marian now holding an 8-5-0 record against the Red Hawks.

	Freshman Connor Farrell (0-1-0) made three saves in the first half.
	Sophomore Ved Asur was the lone Sabre with multiple shots in the game.
	Sophomore Hudson Shenk was the only field player between both teams to play all 90 minutes.
