Marian University men’s soccer (0-6-1, 0-3-0 NACC) fell behind early and never recovered in a 5-1 loss to Lakeland.

• The Muskies wasted no time scoring just 4:30 into the match off of a corner.
• They then scored two free-kick goals separated by just 9:51 to take a 3-0 lead into halftime.
• The Sabres nearly got on the board just 1:04 into the second half but a shot from Brayden Johnson rang off the crossbar.
• Lakeland answered netting a goal just 2:25 after the near goal.
• The Muskies pushed the advantage to 5-0 in the 56th minute off of another corner-kick.
• Lakeland would be booked for a card following the goal and Marian took advantage with the man-up scoring just 25 seconds later.
• Zac Pfister was the goal scorer for Marian netting his first score with an assist from Jay Wolcott.
• A Fernando Mota chance also hit off the crossbar in the 65th minute and proved to be the final chance for the Sabres.

• Marian finished with a 15-13 edge in shots but Lakeland managed a 9-7 advantage for shots on goal.
• The Sabres had 13 of their shots come in the second half.
• Marian also had a hefty advantage on corner kicks at 12-4.
• Each team was called for 11 fouls.
• The Sabres were booked for three yellow cards, while Lakeland had just the one red card.
• Marian is now 31-12-5 all-time against Lakeland with the defeat snapping a four-game unbeaten streak.

	Zac Pfister scored his first goal of the season.
	Jay Wolcott earned his first assist of the season.
	Niko Bohacek made three saves in just his second appearance in goal this season.
