Marian University men’s soccer (1-4-3, 0-1-1 NACC) played well in the second half but fell to Illinois Tech 2-0.

- Illinois Tech controlled play in the opening half but the Sabre defense limited the Illinois Tech opportunities.
- The Scarlet Hawks were able to break through in the 31st minute and extended its lead to 2-0 just 3:12 later.
- The halftime break was beneficial for Marian as the Sabres were able to control play in the second half.
- Freshman Mason Radulski looked like he had cut the Sabre deficit in half with just 6:50 to play but was ruled to have been offside.
- Illinois Tech limited the Marian possession in the final minutes to seal the 2-0 shutout.

- Illinois Tech had a slim 17-13 advantage for shots and 8-5 edge for shots on goal.
- The Scarlet Hawks also had a 6-3 edge for corner kicks.
- Marian was called for 18 fouls to 16 for Illinois Tech with each team also being booked for a yellow card.
- The Sabres fall to 3-4 all-time against Illinois Tech with the Scarlet Hawks having won the past two meetings.
