Sabre men’s lacrosse drops season opener to Carroll

Marian University men’s lacrosse (0-1, 0-0 NACC) dropped its first game of the season 15-2 to Carroll.

  • Marian had a strong start to the game when sophomore Alton Reynolds scored just 17 seconds in.
  • The Pioneers responded scoring four goals in the first quarter, four goals in the second, four in the third, and three in the final stanza.
  • Senior Serge Simard was able to get Marian back on the board scoring with just seven seconds remaining.

  • Carroll had a 47-16 advantage for shots where 12 of the Marian shots came in the second half.
  • The Pioneers also had a 44-27 edge for ground balls and a 12-8 advantage for face offs.
  • Marian limited Carroll to 1-for-6 on man-up chances, while Marian was scoreless on three opportunities.
  • The Sabres are now 2-2 all-time against Carroll.
