Sabre men’s bowling stays competitive at Hoosier Classic

Marian University men’s bowling finished 13th at the highly competitive Hoosier Classic after recording 8,737 total pins.

  • Marian was able to stay consistent in traditional play scoring as low as 904 and as high as 1,148.
  • The Sabres had that high game come in the fifth game and followed that up with a 1,050 to finish at 5,998 pins after six games.
  • This gave Marian a 999.7 average and put the Sabres in 17th.
  • The Sabres then had the 13th best Baker format score at 2,739 pins or a 182.6 average.
  • Marian had three games over 200 with a high game of 225 in its fourth game.

Jaysen Spanbauer led the Sabres finishing in 22nd place with an average of 217.5.  He had four games with more than 200 pins.
Nole Hefty took 33rd place averaging 213.7 pins with a high game of 277 pins.
Rory Clark was consistent in his six games finishing 71st after averaging 203.3 pins with four games above 200 pins.
