Sabre men’s bowling finishes 12th at stacked event

Marian University men’s bowling finished 12th out of 26 teams at a tough McKendree Match Games event.

  • Marian rolled well in traditional games finishing with 5,084 pins to open in ninth place.
  • The Sabres had at least 948 in all five games with three games above 1,000 pins.
  • The high game for Marian came in the third game with a 1,124.
  • Marian had just one tough stretch in Baker that put the Sabres at 3,951 pins in 20 games.
  • The Sabres opened with more than 200 pins in the first four games, but didn’t get its next 200 game until the 12th game.
  • Marian had a strong finish with at least 200 in the final three games.
  • The high game for the Sabres came in their first game with a 256.

Junior Tommy Reboletti led Marian with a 215.6 average to finish in 20th.  He had more than 200 pins in four of five games with a high of 265.
Senior Ryan Dreikosen came in 22nd place with an average of 215.0.  Dreikosen had at least 205 pins in all five games.
Junior Jaysen Spanbauer had four solid games to finish in 52nd with a 202.8 average.
