Sabre field hockey eliminated from CFHC Tournament

Marian University field hockey (11-6, 3-2 CFHC) saw its season come to a close after falling in the CFHC Tournament Semifinals to Rhodes 2-0.

  • The Sabres controlled play for most of the opening quarter but it was Rhodes who struck first with 1:48 left in the stanza.
  • The 1-0 score held all the way into halftime.
  • Marian nearly found an equalizer 2:22 into the third quarter but a defensive save at the line kept Marian off the board.
  • The Sabres continued to control play but Rhodes was able to put the game away late with only 1:15 left to play.
