Marian University baseball (11-10, 5-3 NACC) was defeated by Cornell 19-14 in non-conference action.

- Marian was able to jump ahead early with a sacrifice fly from junior Jacob Kleemann in the first inning.
- The Rams answered with two runs in the second but the lead didn’t last long as Marian responded with five runs in the bottom half.
- Senior Albert Kiszka put an exclamation mark on the inning with a triple that drove in three runs with two outs.
- Cornell was able to put up two more runs in the third to only trail two, but Marian once again had an answer with four runs in the bottom half.
- A Ram run in the fifth was answered by another four-run inning by Marian in the bottom half of the frame.
- Kleemann had a triple to open the scoring that brought in a pair of runs.
- The third big inning from Marian saw the Sabres lead 14-5 after five innings.
- Cornell was able to chip away at the Marian lead, however, scoring two in the sixth, one in the seventh, and three in the eighth to only trail 14-11.
- The Rams would hit into a double play after a lead off walk in the ninth, but then scored eight runs with two outs to take a 19-14 lead.
- Marian opened the bottom of the ninth with a single but couldn’t find a response after that.
