Marian University baseball (5-4, 0-0 NACC) closed out its spring trip falling to Grove City 11-4.
- The Wolverines wre able to open the scoring in their first appearance at the plate scoring two runs.
- A sacrifice fly from junior Jason Sims in the bottom of the first helped cut the Marian deficit down to 2-1.
- The Wolverines added to their lead in the second with a run before scoring four runs in the fourth, three with two outs, to lead 7-1.
- GCC continued to add on with a run in the fifth to push the advantage to 8-1.
- Juinor Keon Booker helped cut the Marian deficit in the fifth with a double that scored a pair of Sabres.
- The two sides traded a run in the seventh with Jones driving in a run with a sacrifice fly for Marian.
- A pair of runs from Grove City in the ninth helped settle the final at 11-4.
- Marian was outhit 13-9 for the game.
- The Sabres had the lone error of the game with the miscue leading to one unearned run.
