The Fond du Lac School District (FDL-SD) is announcing Mr. Michael Blaskowski as Assistant Principal at Sabish Middle School, effective August 9, 2023.
Mr. Blaskowski comes to the FDL-SD after serving as a Technology and Engineering teacher for the last eight years at West Bend East High School. Mr. Blaskowski was the head of the technology education department and a member of the high school building leadership teams.
“I am thrilled to have been selected to serve as the assistant principal at Sabish Middle School for the upcoming academic year,” said Blaskowski. “I look forward to collaborating with faculty, families, and the Fond du Lac community to foster the growth and achievement of our students.”
Mr. Blaskowski has a Master’s in Educational Leadership Social Studies from Cardinal Stritch University. He received a Bachelor of Science in Technology Education from the University of Wisconsin-Stout.
In addition to his educational experience, Mr. Blaskowski served as a part-time law enforcement officer for Washburn County Sheriff’s Department as well as with the Spooner, Shell Lake and Cumberland police departments for a little over a year.
Superintendent Jeffrey Fleig shared the following, “Mr. Blaskowski demonstrated in the interview with stakeholders an ability to collaborate and communicate effectively. We are pleased to welcome Mr. Blaskowski to our administrative team.”
Marisa Lombardo, FDL-SD Human Resource Director, adds, “Those who have worked with Mr. Blaskowski complimented his ability to drive change within the school and to take on leadership roles effectively.”
