Envision Greater Fond du Lac hosted a ribbon cutting at member organization, Sam Meyer State Farm Agency to celebrate the opening of their new location in their newly renovated historic building.
Founded in 1922, State Farm is the largest auto and home insurance carrier in the United States. State Farm’s success rests in its local agency presence, with more than 19,000+ agents nationwide. Sam Meyer, State Farm Agency, has been involved in the Fond du Lac community for decades; this being Sam’s 36th year with the company. Sam’s office is located in a restored 1860’s doctor’s office located across from the police station in Historic Downtown Fond du Lac.
Sam wanted to do the ribbon cutting to share his new office build with the Fond du Lac community. Moving the 1860’s brick building to its N. Main Street location and restoring it was a labor of love. Sam’s motto when doing this project was, “Reuse, recycle, and restore” as many of the architectural elements of the project are more than 100 years old.
State Farm is a family business; Sam’s oldest sone Ryan just became a newly minted State Farm Agent in Winchester, VA December 1, 2024. As the Meyers say, “[It’s] generations of service”.
