Reserve Your Place at Marian University’s B&I Dinner

Save the Date!  Marian University’s 44rd Annual Business and Industry Awards Dinner is set for Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at the Marian University Stayer Center, at 45 South National Avenue in Fond du Lac.  The evening will kick off with a reception at 5:00 pm in the Dale R. Michels Atrium, followed by dinner at 6:00 pm in the Stayer Dining Room.  The awards program will begin at 7:00 pm, with Marian University President Aaron Sadoff serving as the Master of Ceremonies.

The annual dinner honors local businesses and individuals for their entrepreneurship, economic development, special achievements and commitment to the community.  Tickets are $150 per person, with all proceeds supporting student scholarships.  Dress is business attire.

Nominations are due August 1st.  Anyone in the Fond du Lac community can nominate businesses or individuals.  Please visit: https://www.marianuniversity.edu/marian-universitys-business-industry-awards/ to access the nomination form and information on tickets.

Here are the Awards:

  • Spirit of Hospitality Award is given to a company or business that is an exemplary role model for the true spirit of hospitality in the Fond du Lac Area.
  • Community Collaboration Award is given to companies, organizations, or individuals that have collaborated in some manner to positively impact the greater Fond du Lac community.
  • Economic Development Award is given to a business that has made a significant contribution to improving the regional economy through increasing employment, creating a destination location, community recognition, or other meaningful and long-lasting contributions.
  • Entrepreneur of the Year recognizes companies or individuals who have embraced the risk and unique challenges of creating and growing a successful business.
  • Special Achievement Award is given to an individual, company, charitable organization, or civic group for making a continuing and significant contribution to Wisconsin.  Recognition is given to those who promote positive values and support the growth and development of their community, their employees, and society.
  • Business of the Year is given to an organization that is a leader in its field.  The Business of the Year views building long-term relationships as important as individual sales of products or services.  They are known for taking successful risks in meeting customer and market needs and in growing their companies far beyond where the company originated. They are also well-known for their contributions to the economy and their community.
  • George Becker Business Spirit Award is given to an individual, company, charitable organization, or civic group whose good business practices benefit the community, either through the ways they do business or through the recipients’ contribution to the community.
