Senior Logan Rademan of Marian University baseball and senior Nicole Stachon of Marian University women’s lacrosse have been named the Sabres of the Month for March.
Rademan (West Allis, Wis.) had a big month going 18-of-39 (.462) over 12 games with seven doubles and a triple. Rademan would go on to drive in nine runs and led the team with 15 runs scored during the month of March. He had at least one hit in 11 of the 12 games in the month and had multiple hits in six games. He opened March going 7-for-9 (.777) with seven runs scored and five runs driven in. In the first game of a twin bill against Drew, he was 2-for-3 (.667) with two runs driven in and three runs scored. On the base paths, he had three stolen bases and was only caught once. Defensively, Rademan had just one error with a .958 fielding percentage.
Stachon (Kenosha, Wis.) made history in the month of March becoming the first Sabre in program history to reach 100 career points. She would record 29 total points in March over seven games with 22 goals and seven assists. Stachon would reach the 100-point plateau at home in a win over Spalding where she scored six goals with two assists for eight total points. She also had a 12-point game against Elmhurst where she scored eight goals to go with four assists. Stachon also had five ground balls and five draw controls as part of a performance that earned her NACC Offensive Player of the Week recognition. She finished the month with 26 ground balls and 20 draw controls.
Marian baseball takes on Edgewood tomorrow, Tuesday, April 2, for a 3 p.m. NACC twin bill, while Sabre women’s lacrosse travels to Illinois Tech Saturday, April 6 for a 3 p.m. game.
