Junior Noah Pickart from the Marian NCAA men’s ice hockey program has earned CSC Academic All-District recognition.
The CSC Academic All-American program recognizes the nation’s top student-athletes for their efforts both in competition and in the classroom. To be eligible, a student-athlete must compete in 90 percent of their team’s games, be a key starter or reserve on their team, and attain a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.5. They must also hold at least sophomore standing at their institution.
Pickart (Fond du Lac, Wis.) adds this award after being named a Second Team All-American by DIIIHockeyNews.com and All-NCHA. He finished the season with two goals and 18 assists putting him second in the NCHA for points and assists among defenseman. He opened the season with a dramatic overtime game-winner against Bethel as part of a multi-point game. Pickart had three other multi-point games posting multiple assists against Aurora, MSOE, and Lake Forest. From the nine conference series, he was held to one or fewer points in only three of them. Through 56 career games, Pickart ranks ninth all-time for defenseman assists with 36 and has 44 total points. Pickart became the first Marian defenseman to earn all-conference honors since Gianni Mangone after the 2016-17 season.
