Offensive woes continue for Sabre men’s soccer

Marian University men’s soccer (2-6-0, 0-5-0 NACC) was shutout for the second straight game falling at MSOE 2-0.

  • The Raiders didn’t need long to open the scoring forcing a penalty kick just 5:43 into the match and taking a 1-0 lead.
  • The scoring then went quiet for most of the match and it wasn’t until the 82nd minute that MSOE set the final at 2-0.

  • Marian only had one shot in the defeat, while MSOE tallied 30 shots, eight fo which were on goal.
  • The Sabres have now been shutout four times this season.
  • MSOE had all of the corner kicks registering six chances.

Senior Logan Holevas had the lone shot for the Sabres.
