Marian University men’s lacrosse (2-7, 1-5 NACC) was defeated at home by Illinois Tech with an 11-2 final.
 

• The Sabres were able to score first when senior Serge Simard scored 3:05 into the game.
• The Scarlet Hawks scored twice over the final 5:05 to take a slim 2-1 advantage into the second quarter.
• Illinois Tech held Marian scoreless until the fourth quarter netting five goals in the second, one in the third and three in the fourth.
• The Sabres were able to close out the game with a second Simard goal.

• Illinois Tech had a 53-23 advantage for shots including a second quarter that saw the Scarlet Hawks outshoot Marian 21-0.
• The Scarlet Hawks had a 38-24 advantage on ground balls.
• The Sabre defense held Illinois Tech scoreless on six man-up chances.
• Marian is now 1-4 all-time against Illinois Tech having lost the last four games.

	Senior Serge Simard had both Marian goals.
	Junior Jackson Sweeney finished with 20 saves, his third game this season with 20 stops.
	Sophomore Bailey White had three caused turnovers and seven ground balls.
