Marian University men’s basketball (0-5, 0-2 NACC) fell 67-54 at Edgewood in its first road conference game of the year.

- Neither squad was able to control play through the first 9:29 of action leading to a 13-13 tie.
- The Eagles then went on a small 10-4 spurt to build a six-point lead but it proved to be the difference for the half.
- Edgewood would build a 28-21 lead heading into halftime.
- Marian opened the second half on a 12-6 spurt that saw the Sabres trim its deficit down to one with 12:39 left to play forcing an Eagle timeout.
- The Sabres were able to trail by just one point on three occasions but couldn’t get a defensive stop to tie or retake the lead.
- Edgewood found itself ahead 39-38 with 10:10 to play before scoring seven straight points to build an eight-point cushion.
- An 11-1 spurt from Edgewood shortly after put the Eagles in the driver’s seat leading 57-42 with 6:07 to play.
- The Eagles would manage a double-digit advantage for the remainder of the game.

- The shooting woes continued for Marian as the Sabres only shot 22-of-61 (.361) from the field and 4-of-19 (.211) on three-pointers.
- Edgewood shot 54.2 percent from the field in the second half and went 5-of-9 (.556) from three-point range, 8-of-20 (.400) for the game.
- The Sabre defense continued to create turnovers winning the turnover battle by a 19-14 margin, but Marian would only create 20 points off of those turnovers.
- Marian managed a slim 32-28 advantage in the paint.
