Marian University field hockey (4-4, 2-2 SAA) scored in all four quarters of a 6-1 victory over CUW in Southern Athletic Association action.

- Marian was able to open the scoring 7:10 in with sophomore Jikke Biemans scoring with an assist from fellow sophomore Allyson Nichols. It would be far from the last time the duo teamed up to score.
- That 1-0 score held into the second quarter before CUW found the back of the cage 2:16 into the second stanza.
- Nichols quickly got Marian back out in front scoring with an assist from Biemans just 1:21 later.
- Marian saw its lead grow to 3-1 going into halftime when Nichols scored her second goal with an assist from freshman Angelene Castro.
- Just 20 seconds into the third quarter, it was Nichols again finding the back of the cage with a helper from sophomore Merel Nagelkerke.
- Sophomore Eva Houtackers got in on the action bumping the Marian lead to 3-1 scoring with just 1:48 left in the third to put the Sabres ahead 5-1, assist to Nichols.
- Nichols then concluded her historic day scoring with 9:53 left to play to set the final at 6-1, Biemans assisted the final score.

- Marian finished with a 36-6 advantage in shots, 24-5 for shots on goal, and held the Falcons to zero shots in two of the four quarters.
- The Sabres dominated the longer the game went on finishing with a 21-4 edge in penalty corners, 11 of those came in the final quarter.
- Marian improved to 3-0 all-time against the Falcons with the win.
