New Program Empowers First-Time Leaders to “Hack the Middle Manager Code”

Are you a high-performing individual stepping into your first people leader role? Do you feel unprepared for the messy, real-world challenges that management training doesn’t cover? Or have you just hired/promoted someone into their first people leader role and want to set them and the organization up for success? “Hacking the Middle Manager Code” is a program designed to bridge that gap and empower first time people leaders to thrive.

“That first promotion to lead people? It’s a doozy,” says Paula Rauenbuehler, PCC, creator of “Hacking the Middle Manager Code.” Paula shared her own experience with taking that first big step. “My first people leader role tested me in ways I didn’t expect. I made mistakes like trying to be the cool boss rather than have hard conversations with my direct reports. My boss wasn’t at all pleased when I filled in more than one too many times for an absent employee.  I can still hear him say ‘That’s not what I am paying you for!’ It was then I realized that my training didn’t prepare me as well as I thought.”

This innovative program tackles the crucial, often unspoken aspects of leading a team. Participants will:

  • Discover your leadership strengths and blind spots.
  • Learn to navigate challenging dynamics like employee accountability and friend-manager boundaries.
  • Develop the confidence to have crucial conversations and provide effective feedback.
  • Gain valuable tools and strategies from experienced leaders.
  • Connect with peers facing similar challenges and build a supportive network.

“Hacking the Middle Manager Code” is designed for new leaders and those on the cusp of leadership. The virtual program features a dynamic curriculum with interactive sessions on essential topics, including:
