National Exchange Bank & Trust is pleased to announce the recipients of the National Exchange Bank 2020 scholarships offered to the children of its employees. Students were judged on financial need, academic achievement, school involvement, work experience, community and volunteer involvement and a personal statement.
The scholarships, in partnership with the Fond du Lac Area Foundation, are available to educate youth and provide financial support to the sons and daughters of active National Exchange Bank & Trust (NEBAT) employees. Renewable scholarships are available for $3,000 per year for a baccalaureate degree and $2,000 per year for a technical college degree. This year’s recipients are:
Emma Brantmeier
Emma Brantmeier is the daughter of Kerri Brantmeier, a Personal Banker at the Marytown office. Brantmeier will be a sophomore at UW-Stevens Point where she is on the Dean’s List and is majoring in Interior Architecture and minoring in Graphic Design. She is a member of the National Honor Society at UWSP and has received the Division of Interior Architecture Award for Academic Excellence. Brantmeier has had her artwork displayed at the Eastern Wisconsin Art Show.
Sadhvika Chitoor
Sadhvika Chitoor is the daughter of Shivani Sadanand, a Customer Service Representative at the West Bend office. Chitoor will be a freshman at North Central Texas College and plans to major in Engineering with a long-term goal of continuing in the field of Biomedical Engineering. She has been a member of SkillsUSA, R.O.V. Robotics Team, Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), and 4-H. Chitoor has also volunteered at the West Bend Public Library and at Silverbrook camp. In addition, she has studied Taekwondo, and now teaches it to youth ages 5-8.
Caitlyn Pautsch
Caitlyn Pautsch is the daughter of Jenny Pautsch, an Account Services Representative at the Fond du Lac office located on South Main Street. Pautsch will be a sophomore at Marian University where she is on the Dean’s List and is majoring in both Social Work and Psychology. Her long-term goal is to receive her master’s degree in social work. Pautsch has volunteered for Shop with a Cop, the NFDL Police Department and the St. Vincent DePaul Call Center. She is currently a Youth Mentor for Individualized Youth Services Center (CESA 6).
Rebekah Veldhorst
Rebekah Veldhorst is the daughter of Jan Veldhorst, a Customer Service Representative at the Cedar Grove office. Veldhorst will be a senior at Belhaven University where she is majoring in Social Work with plans to attend graduate school. Currently, she volunteers with His Hands His Feet Club and is a prior member of Key Club and the Forensics team. Veldhorst works as a Dietary Assistant for Pine Haven Christian Communities and is an Alumni Researcher for Belhaven University.
Kristi Vollmer
Kristi Vollmer is the daughter of Dean Vollmer, AVP/Lending at the Fond du Lac location on South Main Street. Vollmer currently attends UW-Oshkosh where she has been on the honor roll. Vollmer has been accepted into the College of Nursing at Marian University where she will be a junior and majoring in Nursing. Her goal is to become a Nurse Practitioner. Vollmer works as a Resident Care Partner at Willow Park Place and a Bartender/Waitress at the Autumn Ridge Golf Course. She volunteers at the Oshkosh Humane Society.
Haley Wagner
Haley Wagner is the daughter of Tammy Wagner, AVP/Operations & Lending at the Elkhart Lake office. Wagner will be a senior at St. Norbert College in De Pere where she is in the Honors Program and double majoring in Theology & Religious Studies and Spanish. She has studied abroad in Spain and was the team captain for her college swim team. Wagner is a classroom aide at Syble Hopp School, has volunteered at Casa ALBA Melanie and is a prior classroom aide at St. Benedict the African School in Chicago.
