National Exchange Bank & Trust, in partnership with the Federal Home Loan Bank of Chicago, is proud to announce a $30,000 grant has been awarded to Progressive Building Maintenance to assist with growth and development of the business.
The Federal Home Loan Bank of Chicago is a wholesale bank that provides liquidity to member banks, credit unions, insurance companies, and community development financial institutions in Illinois and Wisconsin, helping them fund loans, manage liquidity, and support affordable housing and economic development. The Community First Accelerate Grant was designed to foster economic opportunities by supporting small businesses. To qualify, businesses needed to be lower to moderate income, veteran-owned, minority-owned or female-owned, and have employees working within a certain distance from their headquarters.
Progressive Building Maintenance is a veteran-owned, commercial cleaning and maintenance company serving Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and the surrounding areas. Their mission is to simplify property maintenance and cleaning for local business owners. With the grant, Progressive Building Maintenance was able to purchase new equipment and expand their services.
David Mohorich, a Commercial Lender for National Exchange Bank & Trust in Waukesha, Wisconsin, assisted with Progressive Building Maintenance’s application and said, “It was an honor to play a part in helping Progressive Building Maintenance apply and qualify for the Community First Accelerate Grant. We have built a relationship that is more than this one-time transaction, and I am looking forward to seeing this veteran-owned business succeed for years to come!”
