Marian women’s volleyball falls to Aurora in NACC opener

Marian University women’s volleyball (3-5, 0-1 NACC) falls to Aurora to open NACC play in four sets.

  • The two teams traded points throughout the first set with Marian falling just short with 12 kills on .111 hitting percentage.
  • Set two saw much of the same from set one with Marian coming out on top after capitalizing on Aurora mistakes.
  • Aurora came out the gates in set three on a 6-1 run and never looking back.
  • The Sabres never quite got the offense rolling with Aurora using the momentum from set three to win the match.

  • Marian falls to 0-1 in NACC play.

Junior Riley Shores led the Sabres offense with 11 kills while adding eight digs.
Cami Arno headshot Freshman Cami Arno recorded her second double-double of the season after recordng 24 assists and 11 digs.
Sophomore Alana McDermott paced the back row with 18 digs.
