Marian University women’s volleyball (6-5, 0-1 NACC) defeated Lawrence University to close out the Lawrence Invite by the scores of 25-21, 25-16, 25-17. 
 

• Marian jumped on Lawrence right away with a 8-2 run to start set one and with the Sabres extending their lead to 14-6. 
• The Sabres saw their lead grow as large as 10 with the score of 20-10 but Lawrence would go on a 10-3 run.
• The Sabres closed out the first set out earning the final two points off kills.
• In set two the Sabres were able to start out on a 7-2 run and would not surrender the lead behind 13 kills while holding Lawrence to .029 hitting. 
• The theme of hot starts continued as the Sabres went on a 10-5 run to open set three and would cruise towards the sweep as they held Lawrence under a .100 hitting percentage for the second time in the match.

• The Sabres served Lawrence out of the gym with a large advantage in aces 13-1.
• Marian held the large advantage in all statistical categories but blocks.
• The Sabres held Lawrence under .100 hitting percentage making it the third match in a row of achieving this feat.

	Freshman Olivia Buol reached double digit kills for the second time this season with 12 kills on .391 hitting.
	Senior Kaitlyn Merrill recorded 11 kills on a season-high .667 hitting.
	Freshman Cami Arno dominated from the service line with a career-high six aces while adding 35 assists.
