Marian University women’s volleyball (6-5, 0-1 NACC) defeated Lawrence University to close out the Lawrence Invite by the scores of 25-21, 25-16, 25-17.

- Marian jumped on Lawrence right away with a 8-2 run to start set one and with the Sabres extending their lead to 14-6.
- The Sabres saw their lead grow as large as 10 with the score of 20-10 but Lawrence would go on a 10-3 run.
- The Sabres closed out the first set out earning the final two points off kills.
- In set two the Sabres were able to start out on a 7-2 run and would not surrender the lead behind 13 kills while holding Lawrence to .029 hitting.
- The theme of hot starts continued as the Sabres went on a 10-5 run to open set three and would cruise towards the sweep as they held Lawrence under a .100 hitting percentage for the second time in the match.

- The Sabres served Lawrence out of the gym with a large advantage in aces 13-1.
- Marian held the large advantage in all statistical categories but blocks.
- The Sabres held Lawrence under .100 hitting percentage making it the third match in a row of achieving this feat.
