Marian University women’s soccer (10-3-4, 8-2-1 NACC) earned a home match in the NACC Tournament for the first time since 2013 with a 2-0 win over Lakeland.

- Marian was able to get out to a quick start with freshman Emily Gordillo scoring her sixth goal of the season just 13:01 in with an assist from sophomore Brianna Guelig. Gordillo sent a long shot from 25 yards out that snuck under the cross bar.
- An uneventful rest of the half saw Marian go into the break with a 1-0 lead.
- The second half started a little more offensive with both teams creating opportunities.
- Guelig was able to create a turnover deep in the box and fired a quick shot that snuck in for her second goal of the season.
- Junior Isabella Goodson nearly put Marian ahead 3-0 in the 87th minute but her shot would hit the crossbar.
- A dominating defense was able to hold off Lakeland for the 2-0 final.

- Marian had double-digit shots in each half finishing with a 20-8 edge, 9-4 in shots on goal.
- Each team had two corner kicks.
- Marian extends its winning streak against Lakeland to 15 games.
- The victory clinches Marian a home match in the NACC Tournament for the first time since 2013. St. Norbert also was defeated giving Marian at least the No. 3 seed for the conference tournament.
