Marian University women’s soccer (1-1-0, 0-0-0 NACC) defeated UW-Oshkosh for the first time since 1994 by a 2-0 final.

- The Titans controlled the pace of play for the opening minutes and sent three shots on goal early.
- Marian was able to bounce back and eventually won the battle of possession for the half, but the score was knotted 0-0 at halftime.
- The Sabres got out to a fast start in the second half and it resulted in senior Baylee Alvarado chipping a shot over the goalkeeper along the goal line to put Marian ahead 1-0 just 3:51 into the half.
- The goal was her first of the season and sophomore Ysabella Sanchez earned an assist.
- UW-Oshkosh had its best opportunity come in the 73rd minute but junior Chelsea King was able to turn away a one-on-one opportunity to maintain the Sabre lead.
- Marian was able to build a two-goal cushion with 8:51 to play when freshman Daniela Chaname buried a penalty kick.
- The Titans were able to record two shots in the final minutes but Marian held on for the shutout victory.

- UW-Oshkosh had an 18-8 advantage for shots but each team had seven shots on goal.
- The Titans finished with a 6-3 edge on corner kicks as well with all three Marian chances coming in the second half.
- Marian had nine fouls, only two in the second half, to 13 for UW-Oshkosh.
- The victory is the first for the Sabres since 1994, also a 2-0 win but at UWO.
