Marian University women’s soccer (3-0-0, 0-0-0 NACC) defeated Beloit 1-0 to improve to 3-0-0 for the first time in program history.
 

• The Sabres dominated throughout the game but were held scoreless heading into halftime despite having one shot hit the woodwork.
• Marian nearly broke through in the 54th minute but a shot from senior Baylee Alvarado hit the woodwork.
• Freshman Anna Riley made her first collegiate goal count as she broke the scoreless tie in the 70th minute, assist to junior Emily Gordillo.
• The Sabres continued to dominate and hit the woodwork a third time with 2:58 left to play.
• The final horn would sound to finalize a third straight shutout for Marian to open the season.

• Marian finished with a 27-4 advantage for shots in the game and 12-3 for shots on goal.
• The Sabres also held a 5-2 edge for corner kicks.
• Marian has now won its first three games of the season for the first time in program history.
• Marian has also posted three straight shutouts for the first time since 2021.
• The Sabres improve to 6-5-1 all-time against Beloit with this being the first victory since 2019.

	Freshman Anna Riley scored her first collegiate goal for the lone tally of the game.
	Senior Chelsea King (2-0-0) made three saves for the 12th shutout of her career.
	Senior Baylee Alvarado had five shots, four of which were on frame.
