Marian University women’s lacrosse (5-9, 2-2 NACC) defeated MSOE 9-5 in the first meeting between the two programs.

- The Raiders were able to jump ahead quickly on the Sabres taking a 3-0 lead after the first quarter.
- Marian bounced back nicely in the second quarter scoring three goals in a span of 2:36 to tie the game at 3-3 heading into halftime.
- Marian opened the scoring for the second half with two goals to cap off a run of five straight goals and lead 5-3.
- The two squads would trade goals the remainder of the stanza and Marian found itself ahead 7-5 going into the fourth.
- A woman-down and woman-up goal from the Sabres was all the scoring four the fourth quarter as Marian earned a 9-5 road victory.

- Marian was only outshot in one quarter and finished with a slim 22-20 advantage.
- The Sabres also held a slim advantage in ground balls at 33-29.
- Marian would score three of its goals with a woman-up advantage and two of its goals a woman-down.
- MSOE won 13 of the 17 draw controls.
