Marian women’s lacrosse cruises past Beloit

Marian University women’s lacrosse (3-10, 2-4 NACC) scored seven goals in the second quarter as part of a 13-2 win over Beloit.

  • Marian scored the first five goals of the game, two from freshman Elizabeth Van Ryzin, to take an early lead. 
  • Beloit then scored its only goal of the first half with 9:50 left in the first half.
  • A pair of goals from freshman Talia Bellotti and sophomore Chloe Yanez gave Marian a 9-1 lead at halftime.
  • The Sabres scored the first three goals of the second half with two coming from junior Justice Cole.
  • This gave Marian a 12-1 lead going into the final quarter.
  • After a Buccaneer score, Yanez scored her fourth goal of the game to set the final at 13-2.
