Marian University women’s hockey (5-8-1, 3-4-1-0 NCHA) opened the second half with a 4-0 shutout of UW-Superior.

- Marian was able to jump out to a fast start but neither side would light the lamp through the first 20 minutes.
- Senior Alyssa Heim was able to break the tie at the 10:23 mark of the second period with a short-handed goal.
- This 1-0 advantage held heading into the third where Heim gave the Sabres a 2-0 lead scoring her third goal of the year with 8:26 to play.
- Sophomore Logan Crawford pushed the lead to three with her third goal of the season. The goal came with just 3:59 to play and was assisted by junior Jadyn Gorski.
- Gorski then closed out the game with an empty-net goal in the final minute with assists from Heim and senior Lilly Accola.

- Marian outshot UW-Superior 16-11 in the first period but the Yellow Jackets finished with a 35-31 edge for the game.
- Neither team had a power-play goal with Marian having just one chance to two for UWS.
- This was the second shutout this season for Marian.
- The victory is the first time Marian has defeated UW-Superior in the all-time series.
