Marian University women’s hockey (3-6-1, 3-4-0-0 NCHA) posted its first shutout of the season defeating Trine 3-0.

- Both offenses created plenty of opportunities but both goaltenders kept the scoreboard clear of any goals through 20 minutes.
- Senior Lilly Accola was able to score her first collegiate goal 3:58 into the second period with an assist from fellow senior Hannah Cunha.
- The Sabres would build a multi-goal lead when junior Jadyn Gorski scored her third goal of the season with 3:21 left in the period. Sophomore Logan Crawford and senior Alyssa Heim each earned an assist.
- The third period was then dominated by both goaltenders as well but senior Aeryn Olson would score a goal in the second straight game with an empty-net goal to seal the 3-0 win.

- The shutout is the first this season for the Sabres.
- Marian outshot Trine in the second period but the Thunder held a 37-24 advantage for the game.
- The Sabres held a slim advantage in draws by a 27-24 margin.
- Neither team had a power-play goal with Trine having four chances and Marian just one.
- The victory marks the first win for Marian over Trine since 2017.
