Marian University women’s hockey (8-14-1, 5-9-1-0 NCHA) posted its third shutout of the season defeating Lawrence 4-0.

- Nothing was decided in the opening period but Marian was able to take control of the game early.
- The Sabres were finally able to strike 3:54 into the second period when junior Sydney Schipper scored her third of the season on a tip from senior Mackenzie Rosin.
- Despite another dominating period, the Sabres only found themselves ahead 1-0 heading into the third.
- At the 7:24 mark of the third, senior Aeryn Olson was able to bury a rebound off of a shot from Rosin for her fourth goal of the season.
- A pair of empty-net goals then sealed the game with junior Jadyn Gorski scoring the first, her seventh of the season and it was also short-handed, followed by senior Victoria Paton.

- Marian outshot Lawrence in all three periods, including a 17-2 margin in the second, and finished the game with a 33-17 edge.
- Neither team netted a power-play goal with Marian having five chances and Lawrence three.
- Marian also had a 33-17 advantage in face offs.
- The Sabres improve to 7-0-1 all-time against the Vikings.
- Despite the win, Marian is locked into the No. 6 seed for the NCHA Slaats Cup and will either travel to Lake Forest or Aurora depending on results tomorrow.
