Marian University women’s hockey (8-16-2, 5-10-1-0 NCHA) saw its season come to an end after a 1-1 tie against Aurora in the NCHA Slaats Cup Quarterfinals.

- Aurora got out to a fast start scoring just 2:35 into the game.
- Marian was able to net its first goal of the weekend just 4:03 later when sophomore Logan Crawford lit the lamp with an assist from senior Alyssa Heim.
- This would be all the scoring for regulation as the two squads headed to overtime.
- Needing a victory, Marian was able to outshoot the Spartans in the five-minute session but couldn’t find the back of the net leading to the tie.

- Marian was outshot 48-19 for the game with the Sabres outshooting the Spartans 4-1 in overtime.
- Both penalty-kill units were perfect with Marian having five chances and Aurora three.
- Marian had a slim advantage in face offs by a 36-33 margin.
- This is the first non-defeat for the Sabre women’s ice hockey program in the postseason.
