Marian University women’s ice hockey (5-11-1, 3-6-1 NCHA) overcame an overtime defeat the previous day defeating Aurora 2-1 in overtime to salvage a split.

- Marian quickly found the scoreboard again when senior Jadyn Gorski lit the lamp just 2:46 into the game with assists to junior Jennarae Bateman and senior Dayna Jones.
- The Spartans responded at the 9:49 mark with a power-play score to even the score.
- A defensive stalemate ensued the remainder of the game before overtime was required for a second straight day.
- This time Marian was able to grab the extra point in the standings when junior Rebecca Larson scored her first goal as a Sabre with just 25 seconds remaining.
- Jones and sophomore and Ella Spies each earned an assist on the goal that capped a three-point weekend for Marian.

- Marian finished with a 37-23 advantage for shots in the game.
- The Spartans held a 36-31 edge in face-offs.
- The Sabres were scoreless on three power plays while Aurora finished 1-for-5.
- This was the first overtime victory for Marian, 1-2-1.
- Marian improves to 4-12-1 all-time against Aurora with this being he first victory since Nov. 26, 2019.
