Marian women’s golf finishes second at home invite

Marian University women’s golf carded rounds of 325 and 348 to finish second at its home invite.

  • Yinan Lu earned medalist honors to lead the way for the Sabres carding rounds of 74 and 82.
  • Jessy Merrell opened the invite with an 83 and then led all golfers with a 77 in the second round to finish tied for fourth.
  • Allison Cink scored in both rounds for the Sabres with an 85 and 93.
  • Scoring in the opening round with an 83 was Katelyn Bucciarelli and Kadence Ulrich scored with a 96 in the second round.
  • A second Marian squad was led by Trinity Knudtson who had a 95 in each round to tie for 30th.
  • Similarly, Samantha Gutzwiller had a 97 in each round and Hailie Knudtson had a 99 in each round.
  • Kaydence Harp rounded out the second squad at 199.
  • Caroline Gates ha da total of 223 and Taylor Schaefer a 238 to round out the Marian lineup.
  • Lake Forest won the event with rounds of 306 and 338.
